Toa Halafihi of Benetton Rugby will face a Judiciary Panel on Tuesday, December 24 to consider the Citing Complaint made against him for an incident that occurred on Saturday, 21 December in the Guinness PRO14 Round 8 fixture with Zebre Rugby Club.
The incident occurred in the 48th minute of the game at Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi, Parma. The citing commissioner deemed the player to have committed an act of foul play against an opponent Jamie Elliot (No 11) of Zebre Rugby Club.
The player has been cited for Law 9.12: A player must not physically or verbally abuse anyone. Physical abuse includes, but is not limited to, biting, punching, contact with the eye or eye area, striking with any part of the arm (including stiff-arm tackles), shoulder, head or knee(s), stamping, trampling, tripping or kicking.
The Player will face a Disciplinary Panel comprising of a single Judicial Officer, Andrea Carancini, via Videoconference at 11:30am GMT on Tuesday, December 24.
