England men sevens progressed to the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens Cup quarter-finals after finishing second in Pool D.
Simon Amor’s side will now face France in the last eight tomorrow, kick-off 7.14am GMT (live on Sky Sports Arena).
They kicked off their opening tournament of the year with a comprehensive 36-7 victory over Spain on Thursday.
Friday's day two saw them make it two wins from two in an entertaining meeting with Kenya.
After an assured start, England deservedly took the lead, Ollie Lindsay-Hague scored his second try in as many matches.
They then demonstrated fine game management, holding their seven-point advantage despite seeing Tom Bowen sent to the sin bin for the final two minutes of the first period.
Back to seven, the impressive Harry Glover showed exceptional skill to set up Dan Bibby who crossed before Kenya reduced the arrears to set up a tense finale [12-5].
In the final match of day two, Amor’s men faced South Africa to decide who went through as group winners.
Lindsay-Hague produced another scintillating performance and opened the scoring before Dan Norton crossed.
Ryan Oosthuizen then put the Springboks on the board despite a valiant defensive effort from Will Muir.
And a quick-fire double from Justin Geduld sealed a dramatic 19-14 win for South Africa to cap off a fine contest.
